FRAGMENT EINES STUHLS MIT KARYATIDEN – Bissagos-Archipel, Guinea-Bissau – Bidjogo? Mitte des 20. Jahrhunderts. Holz, Haut, Metall. Maße: H. 45 cm. Eine breite, runde Sitzfläche ruht auf vier Köpfen, die in alle vier Himmelsrichtungen blicken. Fragmente von Tierhäuten sind befestigt und bedecken die Gesichter. Der Gesamteindruck ist massiv und kompakt. Der untere Teil scheint zu fehlen. Zustand: Der untere Teil ist stark erodiert und fehlt, was dem Ganzen ein massives und kraftvolles Erscheinungsbild verleiht.
