In-4, burgunderroter Halbleinenband des Verlags, Einbände aus marmoriertem Papier, Titel in Goldprägung auf dem vorderen Einband. Veröffentlichung aus der Reihe „Monographien zur belgischen Kunst“. Bedeutende Studie über das grafische Werk von James Ensor (1860–1949), insbesondere über sein Schaffen als Radierer. Illustriert mit einem fotografischen Porträt des Künstlers als Frontispiz und zahlreichen Reproduktionen seiner Radierungen, darunter „Vue de Nieuport“. Das Werk beleuchtet die zentrale Rolle der Radierung im Werk Ensors, seine Vorliebe für Satire, das Fantastische und visionäre Kompositionen sowie die Freiheit seiner grafischen Sprache. Einige Stockflecken, vor allem auf den ersten Seiten. Einband gut erhalten.
