Seltenes Mitgliedsabzeichen aus versilberter und vergoldeter Bronze, nach dem 1912 von Gaston VEUVENOT LEROUX (1854–1942) entworfenen Modell. Anfang des 20. Jahrhunderts. Höhe: 4,6 cm. Die Königliche Akademie der Wissenschaften, der Schönen Künste und der Literatur von Bordeaux wurde am 5. September 1712 durch ein Patent von König Ludwig XIV. gegründet. Wie alle anderen Akademien wurde sie während der Revolution aufgelöst, bevor sie zur Zeit der Restauration wiederbelebt wurde. Als kaiserliche Akademie unter dem Zweiten Kaiserreich erhielt die Akademie 1870 den Titel, den sie bis heute trägt: Nationale Akademie der Wissenschaften, der Schönen Künste und der Literatur von Bordeaux. Sie wurde 1894 als gemeinnützige Einrichtung anerkannt (Quelle: Website der Akademie).
