METASTASE (Pierre). Werke des Abtes Pietro Metastasio. Mit Abhandlungen und Anmerkungen. Nizza (Nice), Société typographique, 1785, 22 Bände in-12. Gebunden in 12 Bänden in auberginefarbenem Halbschafsleder, glatte Rücken, horizontale Goldprägungen, Zierfries aus Schwänzchen, marmorierte Schnittkanten. (Einbände aus dem frühen 19. Jahrhundert). Exemplar auf bläulichem Papier gedruckt. Das Innere der Bände ist im Allgemeinen in gutem Zustand, allerdings sind an den Ecken oder am unteren Rand von etwa einem halben Dutzend Blättern eine leichte Bräunung sowie auf den letzten Blättern von Band 3 ein Ausbleichen des Blaus zu verzeichnen; Die Rücken der Einbände sind gelblich verfärbt und weisen einen Schatten auf, der von einem Etikett stammt; einige Scharniere sind brüchig. Graviertes Porträt als Frontispiz des ersten Bandes. Text in italienischer Sprache. Der erste Band beginnt mit einer Biografie von Metastasio von Carlo Cristini. Die ersten fünfzehn Bände enthalten die Werke, die folgenden fünf Bände die Briefe und die letzten beiden sind den „Osservazioni di vari letterari sopra i drami…“ gewidmet. Seitenzahlungsfehler in Band 11.
