Weißporzellan-Statuette aus China, die einen holländischen Kaufmann darstellt, China, Dehua, Kangxi-Zeit (1662–1722) Der Holländer wird lächelnd dargestellt, sitzend auf einem Sockel mit einem Reliefverzierung aus zwei Vögeln inmitten blühender Zweige, das linke Bein angewinkelt und die rechte Hand auf dem rechten Oberschenkel ruhend. Er trägt eine lange, geknöpfte Jacke, Stiefel und einen Hut, unter dem sein langes Haar hervorquillt. Es handelt sich um ein bekanntes und berühmtes Modell, von dem Exemplare im Musée Guimet, im V&A oder im British Museum aufbewahrt werden. Unser Exemplar ist unvollständig – beim Original klettert ein kleiner Affe, der hier fehlt, am rechten Bein der Figur empor. Ebenso hält die linke Hand normalerweise etwas, das als Banane angesehen wird, doch diese wurde bei der Restaurierung der Hand der Figur neu interpretiert. Höhe: 34 cm Kopf abgebrochen und wieder angeklebt, umfangreiche Restaurierungen, der Affe fehlt.
