Maxime Maufra (Französisch, 1861–1918) La Mer Bleue, Quiberon, 1903 Öl auf Leinwand signiert „Maufra“ und datiert (unten rechts) 13 1/8 x 21 7/8 Zoll (33,3 x 55,6 cm) Stammt aus einer Privatsammlung in South Carolina. Dieses Los befindet sich in Philadelphia. Gerahmt: 22 x 31 x 4 in. Die ungefütterte Leinwand befindet sich insgesamt in sehr gutem Zustand. Es sind vereinzelt einige winzige Verschmutzungen zu erkennen. Unter UV-Licht sind Spuren von Retuschen am Himmel und entlang des linken Randes zu erkennen. Einige Pigmente am Himmel fluoreszieren unter UV-Licht. Weitere Bilder sind auf Anfrage erhältlich. Das vorliegende Los ist im Archiv Durand-Ruel unter der Nummer #7472, Foto #4920, registriert. Ein von Caroline Durand-Ruel Godfroy unterzeichnetes und auf den 3. November 2017 datiertes Fotozertifikat liegt diesem Los bei. Provenienz: Tajan, Paris, Auktion vom 30. März 2017, Los 1 (als „Bord de Mer“).
