Spanische Schule, 19. Jahrhundert. „Odaliske“. Öl auf Leinwand. Mit unleserlicher Signatur. Maße: 46 x 61 cm. Das Gemälde zeigt eine liegende weibliche Figur (eine Odaliske) auf einem Diwan, der mit kostbaren Stoffen, Tüchern und Kissen bedeckt ist. Die entspannte Haltung, bei der sie die Arme um den Kopf geschlungen hat, sowie die goldenen Schmuckstücke (Armbänder und Ohrringe) sind charakteristisch für die orientalistischen Darstellungen jener Zeit. Das Gemälde zeichnet sich durch einen lockeren, üppigen Pinselstrich aus, der deutlich vom Impressionismus oder Präzisionismus beeinflusst ist. Besonders hervorzuheben ist das reichhaltige Lichtspiel in den Falten des weißen Kleides sowie in den grünlichen und rosafarbenen Reflexen auf dem vom Diwan herabhängenden Stoff.
