Satz von zwei Vasen und einer Parfümerie; zwanzigstes Jahrhundert. Millefiore geblasenes Glas. Maße: 28 x 9 x 9 x 9 cm (größer): 12 x 6 x 6 x 6 cm (kleiner). Set bestehend aus zwei Vasen und einem Parfümhalter mit Millefiori-Ornamenten, einer Glastechnik, die unverwechselbare dekorative Muster in Glaswaren erzeugt. Der Begriff Millefiori ist eine Kombination aus den italienischen Wörtern "mille" (tausend) und "fiori" (Blumen). Muranos Ruf als Zentrum der Glasherstellung entstand, als die Republik Venedig 1291 aus Angst vor Bränden und der Zerstörung der Holzhäuser der Stadt den Glasmachern befahl, ihre Gießereien nach Murano zu verlegen. Murano-Glas wird immer noch mit venezianischem Glas in Verbindung gebracht. In den verschiedenen Häusern, in denen Vivien Leigh lebte, konnte sie ihrem dekorativen Geschick freien Lauf lassen und schuf eine eklektische und abwechslungsreiche dekorative Linie, die auf der Sammlung luxuriöser, anspruchsvoller und hochwertiger Objekte basierte.
