Dial: Solid silver, champagne. Movm.: Manual. The KLEINE LANGE 1 (Little Lange 1) was introduced in 1998 in response to the Asian market. At 36.1 mm, its case is noticeably smaller than that of the standard LANGE 1. Another striking difference is the omission of the quick-set date pusher at the 10 o’clock position, which was replaced by a traditional pin-style pusher. The KLEINE LANGE 1 remained in production until around 2004. A distinctive feature of all LANGE 1 models is the distribution of the displays, which makes for optimal readability, as they do not overlap. The design of the LANGE 1 has a clear concept: The centre points of small second, main dial and large date constitute the form of a trangle. The proportions of the large date display are also well balanced and represent the golden ratio. The design is inspired by Johann Christian Friedrich Gutkaes' Five-Minute clock in the Semper Opera House in Dresden. Case: good, worn. Dial: very good.
