Carl Robert Kummer "Boote am abendlichen Ufer". 1885. Carl Robert Kummer 1810 Dresden – 1889 ebenda Öl auf Papier, auf Sperrholz montiert. U.re. geritzt signiert und datiert "Rob. Kummer 1885". Verso mit umfangreichen Annotationen von späterer Hand zu Künstler, Provenienz und restauratorischen Maßnahmen im Jahr 1936 sowie mit einem Etikett des "Bilderhaus Paul Wiedemann, Chemnitz, Friedrichstraße". In einer Berliner Leiste gerahmt. Das Gemälde wird in den Nachtrag zum WVZ Nüdling aufgenommen. Vgl. motivisch das im selben Jahr entstandene Gemälde "Seestrand" des Künstlers (WVZ Nüdling 525), Neue Pinakothek, Bayerische Staatgemäldesammlungen, München, InvNr. 12633. Carl Robert Kummer 1810 Dresden – 1889 ebenda Patenkind und Schüler von Caspar David Friedrich. 1826–29 Studium an der Dresdner Akademie bei Carl August Richter, seit 1829 im Atelier von Johann Christian Clausen Dahl. 1832–37 Studienreise nach Italien, Dalmatien und Montenegro, 1851 Aufenthalt in Schottland. 1859 Begleitung des Prinzen Georg von Sachsen auf dessen Brautfahrt nach Portugal. 1868 Reise über Triest nach Kairo, Rückreise über Sizilien, Neapel und Rom. Beteiligt an der Gründung der Deutschen Kunstgenossenschaft sowie im Vorstand der Hermann-Stiftung, welche sächsische Künstler unterstützte. Seit 1848 Ehrenmitglied der Dresdner Akademie. 1859 Ernennung zum Professor.
