J. Blain () – Air Vietnam. Um 1951. Druckerei Gaillard. 98,5 × 58,5 cm. Originalplakat, Lithografie, auf Leinwand aufgezogen. Zustand A-, eine sehr leichte horizontale Faltspur im oberen Bereich. Dieses Plakat entstand nach der Gründung der Fluggesellschaft auf Wunsch von Kaiser Bao Dai. Auf aufeinanderfolgenden Plakaten wurden vier Reiseziele dargestellt. Hier das seltenste Exemplar, für Tourane, das heutige Da Nang, im damaligen Französisch-Indochina. Der Künstler entschied sich dafür, in einem Bild das Nebeneinander der beiden Welten darzustellen: das traditionelle Vietnam mit dieser Dschunke im Vordergrund und am Himmel ein Flugzeug vom Typ Douglas DC-3, um die Passagiere von Asien und dem Orient träumen zu lassen.
