Perec Der Schriftsteller und Psychoanalytiker Jean-Bertrand Pontalis (1924–2013) war einer der Mitbegründer der Zeitschrift „Les Temps modernes“. Vor allem war er ab 1971, also zehn Jahre vor der Veröffentlichung von *La Clôture et autres poèmes*, der Analytiker von Georges Perec. Letzterer „verfasste 1977 *Les Lieux d’une ruse*, einen kurzen, etwa zwölfseitigen Text über seine Analyse. […] Was diese Analyse zu einer außergewöhnlichen Geschichte macht, ist, dass Pontalis neun Texte – neun! – verfasst hat, in denen er den Fall Perec in recht transparenter Weise behandelt hat“ (Claude Burgelin, Georges Perec, S. 200).
