In-12, pflaumenfarbene Jansenisten-Schlangenhaut, Einbandauskleidung aus Boxleder im gleichen Farbton, unbeschnitten, Goldprägung am Buchkopf, Einband und Rücken erhalten, Schutzhülle (Emmanuelle Cheney 2005). Erstausgabe, selten. „Dieser Sammelband umfasst vierunddreißig Texte, die in fünf Teile gegliedert sind. Neun davon wurden nie wieder veröffentlicht“ (Raymond Bellour in Michaux, Pléiade I, S. 1257). Eines der 30 Exemplare auf Pannekoek-Holländerpapier, zweite Papierausgabe (Nr. XXXIV). Ein Teil der Texte war 1930 in der Zeitschrift „Commerce“ erschienen. Noch wichtiger ist, dass das Werk zu Spannungen mit Gaston Gallimard führte, der Michaux in einem Schreiben daran erinnerte, dass er vertraglich an seinen Verlag gebunden sei. (Imbert, Nr. 43.)
