Breitling - Chronomat

An attractive, heavy bi-color neo-vintage wrist chronograph with date and tachy scale Ref. B13047, Cal. ETA 7750, Case No. 1-18156, Dimensions 39 mm, circa 1992, Origin Schweiz Case: Steel/gold, screw back with engraving, unidirectional rotating bezel with golden rider-tabs, screwed onion crown, bi-color Rouleaux bracelet with concealed clasp, bracelet length 150 mm, total length 195 mm. Dial: Burgundy red with golden subsidiary dials. Movm.: Automatic. The "Chronomat" model was reissued in 1984 and is the flagship piece of the Breitling range. In the specialist field of mechanical chronographs, the Chronomat has established itself as the leading model. Then as now, the movement used was the Valjoux 7750 automatic chronograph calibre, which is renowned for its reliability. Originally designed for the famous Frecce Tricolori aerobatics team, it has been continuously updated and refined over the years - both technically as well as aesthetically. Even though the dial surface has some fissures (spider dial), the colour scheme of this Breitling Chronomat is very attractive. The Bordeaux coloured dial with gold totalizers creates a breathtaking contrast with the cool grey colour of the steel case. Case: very good, slightly worn. Dial: very good, hairlines. Movm.: very good, capable of running, cleaning recommended.
