Code interne W113, la voiture est équipée d’un 6 cylindres en ligne de 2,3L développant 160 chevaux. D’un dessin signé Paul Bracq, le cabriolet est aujourd’hui une voiture plébiscitée par les amateurs de la marque à l’étoile. Elle aura également connu des succès en compétitions et remporte même une victoire au Rallye Liège-Rome-Liège avec comme pilotes Böhringer et Kaiser. La voiture se veut robuste et fiable mais aussi utilisable comme voiture de tous les jours. Remplaçante des mythiques 190 et 300 SL, la petite pagode remplit à merveille son rôle de porte étendard. L’exemplaire que nous présentons se trouve dans un bel état général. La peinture blanche est en bon état, tout comme la sellerie. La mécanique fonctionne bien. Une fuite à la direction assistée a été relevée. Cette voiture démarre normalement et aucun bruit suspect n’a fait son apparition. Le propriétaire de cette voiture, pilote automobile, en a pris grands soins depuis qu’il la possède.
