Giacomo CAMPI (1846-1921)

Gentilhomme Aquarelle sur papier, signé en bas à gauche. Dimensions : 37 x 27 cm Peintre italien né à Milan, il débute des études sous la direction du Professeur Gandolfi avant d'intégrer l'Académie de Carrare à Bergame sous la direction Scuri. Il travaille ensuite Rome et au collège romain du Vatican avec Francesco Posdesti avant de s'installer à Milan où il ouvre son atelier. On retrouve ses peintures aujourd'hui dans de nombreuses résidences comme dans la Villa Bagatti-Valsecchi à Milan, dans la maison Arnaboldi à Carimate, dans la maison du Duc Melzi d'Eril ou encore du Prince de Castelbarco à Saint-Moritz. Italian painter born in Milan, he began his studies under the direction of Professor Gandolfi before joining the Academy of Carrara in Bergamo under the direction of Scuri. He then worked in Rome and at the Roman College of the Vatican with Francesco Posdesti before settling in Milan where he opened his studio. We find his paintings today in many residences such as the Villa Bagatti-Valsecchi in Milan, in the Arnaboldi house in Carimate, in the house of Duke Melzi d'Eril or the Prince of Castelbarco in Saint-Moritz.
