Francesco Serdonati, con l'aiuto d'un testo latino a penna, che è nella libreria de' Medici. Florence F. Giunti 1598 4to: [4]-258-[18] pp. (foxing, some ff. browned). Mod. three-quarter brown morocco, marbled paper on boards, gilt orn. spine with raised bands, red edges (spine sl. faded). Florentine history by the great Italian humanist Poggio (1380-1459), who rediscovered many classical Latin manuscripts among which the "De rerum natura" by Lucretius and "De architectura" by Vitruvius. Reprint of the translation from the Latin by the author's son, Jacopo, first published by Jacobus Rubeus in Venice in 1476. Ed. revised and corrected by the grammarian Fr. Serdonati (1540-1603?).
