VAN GENECHTEN, Antoine (Éts.) 25 ms. signed letters and memos addressed to J.J. Lemoine. Turnhout 1907-1913 21 letters (on 22 ff.), 4to, 4 memos, obl. 12mo, in French, lithogr. and typogr. letterheads, stamps (marg. perforations, foxing on 1 doc.). Good condition. Nice letterhead orn. with a view of the manufacture and mentions "Maison fondée en 1837. Cartes à jouer pour tous pays. Papiers de fantaisie [...]. Cartonnages en tous genres. [...]". The documents concern mainly orders for cardboard boxes for a Brussels customer. Founded by Antoine Van Genechten (1809-1874), the company was continued by his son-in-law Jean De Somer (1828-1912), who signs with the founder's name. Ref.
