Charles MALLE (1935 - 2023). "Normandia - Chiatte sotto l'onda". Olio su tela firmato in basso a destra e intitolato sul retro del telaio. Altezza: 46 cm - Larghezza: 55 cm Charles MALLE è originario di Douai, nel nord della Francia. Si avvicina al disegno alla morte del padre nel 1950 e prosegue gli studi all’Accademia di Belle Arti di Saint-Luc-de-Tournai in Belgio, dove scopre l’arte fiamminga e i paesaggi innevati. Successivamente frequenta l’École Nationale Supérieure des Arts et Industries Textiles di Roubaix. Dipinge paesaggi urbani accoglienti, con una certa nostalgia per la sua giovinezza trascorsa nel Nord. Nei suoi quadri si trovano numerose sagome, intente alle loro attività quotidiane, in particolare nelle sue opere parigine. Le forme colorate dei paesaggi sono sottolineate da tratti neri che strutturano le sue composizioni.
