Antica testa barocca in legno intagliato e policromo raffigurante un santo in lutto, forse San Giovanni Evangelista o la Mater Dolorosa, montata su una base rettangolare in legno. Volto in lacrime con la bocca leggermente aperta e tracce di lacrime applicate, presumibilmente andate perdute, sotto gli occhi. XVII/XVIII secolo. Condizioni: segni di usura e perdite nella policromia, con danni dovuti all’invecchiamento e tracce di utilizzo. Mancano le lacrime originariamente applicate. Rapporto sulle condizioni disponibile su richiesta. Provenienza: ex collezione del professor Jan Karel Steppe (1918-2009): storico dell’arte e collezionista belga, Gand. A: 39 cm
