Scuola francese, 1820 circa Ritratto di un ufficiale della Guardia Nazionale Tela originale. (Segni di usura.) Altezza: 74 cm; Larghezza: 47 cm Cornice d’epoca in legno e stucco dorato. Restauro. Durante la Restaurazione (1814–1830), la Guardia Nazionale a cavallo costituiva una milizia cittadina d’élite incaricata di garantire l’ordine pubblico e di fornire la scorta d’onore al Re. Il suo elmo si distingue per una calotta metallica ornata da una fascia con simboli civici o reali, sormontata da un voluminoso para-colpi con passamaneria in crine nero.
