Acquerello su carta 51 × 36 cm (20,08 × 14,17 pollici) Originario della Germania, Andréas ha studiato all’Institut Saint-Luc di Bruxelles. Dopo aver lavorato per un periodo come assistente di Eddy Paape su «Luc Orient», nel 1978 realizza per il «Journal Tintin» la serie «Rork», un fumetto che si distingueva radicalmente dalla produzione del settimanale rivolto a un pubblico dai 7 ai 77 anni. Il suo universo si colloca a metà strada tra quello di H.P. Lovecraft, i fumetti americani di Bernie Wrightson e l’universo architettonico di François Schuiten, suo compagno di viaggio all’Atelier R di Claude Renard. Sempre all’insegna della sperimentazione formale, Andréas eccelle nelle incorniciature visive, come in questa illustrazione in cui il suo eroe, Rork, assiste a una processione di esseri strani diretti verso la cima della collina.
