Rilegatura in mezzo marocchino rosso dell'epoca con dorso dorato (molto consumata e ammaccata). Prima edizione. - Cfr. Phillips 758 (2ª edizione). - Atlante scientifico con 2 mappe del mondo, 9 mappe del Vecchio Mondo, 13 dell’Europa, 5 dell’Asia, 1 ciascuna dell’Oceania, dell’Africa e dell’Egitto, nonché 4 del continente americano. La mappa degli Stati Uniti d’America con il Messico e parti del Canada si basa sui resoconti delle spedizioni di Lewis & Clark e Humboldt. Tutte le mappe recano il timbro a secco «Carte encyprotipe du fonds de l’auteur». - Bordi leggermente macchiati; numerose carte sono state rinforzate alle estremità delle pieghe e in parte si sono nuovamente strappate.
