Center desk with an elaborately inlaid top, Florence, workshop of Luigi and Angiolo Falcini, 19th century 126 x 111 x 62 cm Rectangular top centered by a parrot figure, surmounted by a top with three aligned drawers decorated with thin bone vines; three drawers in line along the band, shaped lateral supports consisting of opposing scrolls joined in the middle by a shaped crosspiece. The attribution to the workshop of the Falcini brothers, known for their production of high-quality furniture, is based on the meticulous attention to detail of the extremely precise inlays, made with natural and stained fruitwoods, bone, and mother-of-pearl on a dark background. The decorative motifs used are typical of the Falcini style, whose workshop, active from 1830 to 1880, specialized in the creation of inlaid furnishings, often commissioned by noble Tuscan families.
