Bellissimo frottage originale raffigurante un personaggio con tentacoli. È stato riprodotto nell’edizione del 1969 del volume dedicato a Henri Michaux nella collana «Poètes d’aujourd’hui» a cura di René Bertelé, a pagina 13. (La prima edizione era apparsa nel 1946.) Invio autografo firmato in alto: A René Bertelé Con i miei ringraziamenti e la mia amicizia, quest’altro segno di Chi fui H Michaux La data del 1962 riportata dal destinatario in calce è quella dell’invio. Diversi elementi inducono a considerare il disegno come un autoritratto. Si nota infatti la menzione di «questo altro segno di chi fui», i tentacoli che rimandano a un essere in perpetuo movimento, il profilo del cranio… Il disegno è stato esposto nella mostra «Face à Face» alla Bibliotheca Wittockiana di Bruxelles nel 2016 (con riproduzione a pagina 97 del catalogo) e al Centre Wallonie-Bruxelles di Parigi nel 2017. Due tracce di pieghe verticali.
