Comprising a young team of seven, the Bordeaux Quinconces Auction House welcomes you to its premises in the very heart of Bordeaux. It is a welcoming space featuring a beautiful exhibition hall with distinctive blue walls.

Maître Alain COURAU – Auctioneer

An auctioneer for over 40 years. Now the senior auctioneer in Bordeaux, his experience speaks for itself. A true enthusiast of the profession and a perfectionist when it comes to accurate appraisal, he leaves a lasting impression on everyone he meets—thanks to his vast knowledge, his passionate nature, and, above all, his great sensitivity toward others.

Maître Maxence MAZZONI – Auctioneer

He has been practicing as an auctioneer with passion and dedication for nearly a decade. Having previously worked in Normandy, he built a solid professional background to establish his reputation in the field. Driven by a love for art and his home region, he possesses extensive expertise in maritime-themed works; the painters of Normandy hold no secrets for him! Dividing his time between the two regions, he has also been conducting auctions at the Crédit Municipal de Bordeaux for several years. He has now decided to settle in this city, joining Alain and Charles COURAU to establish the Hôtel des Ventes Bordeaux Quinconces.

Charles COURAU – Director

An auctioneer’s clerk for over ten years, he initially studied oenology and the wine and spirits trade, subsequently working in the sector for six years between Paris and London. Upon returning to Bordeaux, he chose to join his father and immediately grasped the passion and excitement inherent in this profession. His experience has given him a deep understanding and analytical insight into wines and spirits from around the world, and every day he learns the secrets of the trade from Maître Courau.
