Ideally situated on Rue du Cirque in Paris, a stone’s throw from the Champs-Élysées roundabout, Daguerre also has offices in Amboise, in Semur-en-Auxois – in a beautiful 18th-century townhouse – and in Chambéry.

Our twelve staff members, including three auctioneers, are on hand to carry out a discreet valuation of your assets in preparation for an inheritance, division of estate, sale or the valuation of a collection.

Daguerre was founded in 1999 by Bertrand de Cotton and Benoît Derouineau, both graduates of the École du Louvre with professional experience at Christie’s in London and Paris. They advise families and loyal collectors and organise auctions with a distinct identity, achieving results that are sometimes unrivalled.

It is this small but highly skilled team that enables sellers to benefit from a single, discreet point of contact, whilst also ensuring their treasures are widely promoted, all the while guaranteeing buyers the assurance of specialist expertise.

These outstanding auctions, which have marked the rhythm of our last twenty years, have been made possible by the trust placed in us and the calibre of the experts who support us throughout the year.

We might mention Philippe Delalande, with whom we are delighted to organise two Asian auctions a year during the ‘Chinese Weeks’, as well as Stéphane Pinta of the Turquin firm, and Raphaël Maraval-Hutin for antique textiles. Our catalogues aim to recreate, and indeed enhance, the context of the works entrusted to us. They are the work of Isabelle Gruffaz, who makes brilliant use of Luc Pâris’s photographs.
