ATELIER TANIA ZEKKOUT X PEPEUF Robe en papier unique signée par des célébrités, collaboration Pepeuf x Tania Zekkout, 2025 A unique celebrity-signed Pepeuf x Tania Zekkout paper dress, 2025 Labelled, formed of over 700 sheets of PapierNat by Pepeuf paper, the finely moulded bodice affixed with three-dimensional floral trails, some of which painted gold, corsetry laces to rear, bust approx 81cm 32in; the separate skirt with pleated frills to asymmetric hem, waist approx 81cm 32in; with an additional three-dimensional floral cage that can be worn over the body, (3) Born from the collaboration between Pepeuf, the Swiss creative house whose ambition is to make ecology glamorous and glamour accessible to all, and designer Tania Zekkout, this dress stands not only as a testament to craftsmanship in contemporary fashion, but also as a symbol of commitment to environmental sustainability in an industry often criticised for its ecological impact. Designed by Tania Zekkout, the dress is made from PapierNat by Pepeuf, the house's signature material: a paper made from sugarcane bagasse, a by-product of sugar production, rather than from felled trees. Working by hand in France, Tania Zekkout layered and moulded more than 700 sheets, requiring approximately 150 hours of work, a level of dedication that rivals that of the finest Parisian couture houses. Her sinuous, sculptural design embraces the body, enveloping it in a vision of ecological balance. Interwoven with floral motifs and organic tendrils, it unites body and nature, presenting a compelling image of harmony in an increasingly uncertain world. This piece is distinguished not only by its construction but also by the journey Pepeuf has built around it. Worn on the red carpet of the 2025 Cannes Film Festival by director Valérie Zoydo, the dress then embarked upon a Pepeuf programme of exhibitions, public presentations and media coverage, including a display at the Grand Palais during the ChangeNOW summit and a return to Cannes during the 2026 Festival, where it was exhibited at the Cineum. Pepeuf subsequently invited notable figures in exploration, sport, cinema and the arts to sign the dress, among them Bertrand Piccard, Jean-Louis Étienne, Stan Wawrinka, and numerous actors, directors and cultural personalities. Each signature serves as a documented trace in the evolving history of the object. Offered by Pepeuf in support of A Tree For You, with the entire proceeds donated to the association, the present lot represents a convergence of craftsmanship, sustainability, celebrity provenance and philanthropy. More than a garment, it is the founding piece of the annual Cannes paper dress tradition created by Pepeuf and Tania Zekkout, which has since continued with a 2026 dress and their first paper cape, worn at the 83rd Venice Film Festival.
