Contemp. half sheep, mod. cloth boards, spine with raised bands, old endpapers (corners restored, spine sl. rubbed). Excellent inside condition. Dutch hand-atlas published by the Amsterdam bookseller Isaak Tirion. Most of the maps are based on Guillaume de L'Isle. The title-page dated 1744 refers to the second edition. But on the advice of the publisher, atlas owners inserted later published maps behind the dated title-page. Complete with all 114 maps (on 111 sheets), all beautifully hand-coloured and in excellent condition, containing o.a. world map, continental maps, numerous partial maps (13 on Asia, 4 on Africa, 14 on America).
