[MÜNSTER, Sebastian] Brabantia V Rheni et X nova tabula. [Basel H. Petri 1542] Woodcut, 25,7 x 34,2 cm (starting to split at lower edge, lightly toned). Scarce early map of the Low Countries, very probably after Van Deventer as the hydography is virtually identical. Münster showed the course of the Rhine in 5 maps, this one being the last, covering the lower course; showing a.o. the cities of Antwerp, Brussels, Roermond, Cologne, Bonn, etc. After 1542, Münster reworked the 5 Rhine maps to just 3, thus this map only appeared in 2 editions. Extracted from Münster's 1542 ed. of "Geographia universalis [...]". Latin text on verso (numb. 38). Ref. Brabantia ducatus 2. - Karrow 58/110.
