View of a group of people posing in front of the Goliath, comprising civilians, mechanics and pilots, one of whom may be Lucien Bossoutrot. Originally a bomber, the Goliath was converted after 1918 into a transport aircraft for 12 passengers until 1930. Camille Plateau was a French photographer and postcard publisher who was active during the interwar period, specialising in photojournalism and major events, notably the rise of commercial aviation and the early days of Le Bourget Airport. He captured images of the first passengers, crews and aircraft of that era.
