Late 17th-early 18th c Black chalk, brown ink, grey wash, c. 11,8 x 8,1 cm, laid paper, pencil numb. 7, 20, 23, 31 on verso (few spots, sm. part missing, sm. tear on edge). Laid down on paper. Mounted at upper edges, under passe-partout. Beautiful set incl. Christ on the Cross, Pentecost, the temptation of St Anthony, and the Last Judgement. Richard van Orley (1663-1732) produced several similar drawings (cf. A. Jacobs, Richard van Orley, Brussels, Koninklijke Bibliotheek van België, 2003, pp. 34, 137-139). Prov. From the same album as the 7 drawings acquired by KBR in 2006 (ms. note).
