The vines, planted in 1936, 1942, 1964 and 1972 and covering a total of one hectare, are characterised by a relatively low yield due to their age. The wines made from them are richly coloured, dense and fleshy, and have an ageing potential of 20 years. In the extreme south of Gevrey-Chambertin, Les Seuvrées enjoy an exceptional situation and the direct proximity of the grands crus Mazoyères-Chambertin and Charmes-Chambertin. It is a hinge parcel with the Morey-Saint-Denis appellation, at the junction of the two styles. This hectare of vines, planted between 1938 and 1966, delivers marvellous wines for laying down, which the estate does not hesitate to describe itself as 'a Gevrey of character with a tender heart'. Located in the extreme north of the village of Chambolle-Musigny, the climat Les Bussières takes its name from the Latin 'buxus', boxwood, and designates a place dotted with bushes, and more specifically with boxwood. The vineyard is planted in four stages, in 1948, 1953, 1964 and 1988. Les Bussières is a transitional climat between the Chambolle-Musigny and Morey-Saint-Denis appellations, delivering elegant wines with a complex bouquet, to be laid down for 4 to 5 years. 2022 is a warm, high-quality vintage. After a mild and dry winter, the late budburst protects the vines from the April frosts. Heat sets in from mid-April and continues through a sunny, at times scorching summer. The rains of June and August limit water stress. The harvest begins as early as 1 September at the estate. This fine year gives deep, ripe, fleshy and tannic wines.
