The vineyard is planted in four stages, in 1948, 1953, 1964 and 1988. Les Bussières is a transitional climat between the Chambolle-Musigny and Morey-Saint-Denis appellations, delivering elegant wines with a complex bouquet, to be laid down for 4 to 5 years. The climat En Brescul is located in the north of Pommard: on the upper slopes close to Beaune, it overlooks the Clos des Mouches. This terroir is characterised by a very steep slope, as the toponym of the climat illustrates; it is said to designate, in Old French, a vine parcel with a steep incline or else the markedly bent posture of the winegrower working these steep slopes. The estate's vineyard was planted in 1997 and is spread over 3 terraces to cope with the sharp gradient of the land. This 41-are parcel joined the estate in 2014. Les Chanlins stand out for their remarkable position between Les Rugiens Hauts of Pommard and Les Pitures of Volnay, high up on the slope. This old agricultural toponym designates, quite simply, the place where flax was grown. This 41-are parcel, acquired by the estate in 2009, was replanted in 2013 and 2017. Its thin, calcareous soil, at altitude, on slopes of 15 to 20%, produces a 'Volnay-like' Pommard, between tannic structure and velvety finesse. Although 2021 is the year of freshness, it has nonetheless produced remarkable bottles. The winter, alternating between cold and mild, is followed by polar winds and severe frosts from 6 to 9 April. Thanks to a warm and bright June, the flowering goes well. Until mid-August, the summer is very wet and temperatures are cool. Despite a fortnight of sunny, dry weather in late August, autumnal conditions return in September, until the harvest on 23 September. In 2021, the wines are fresh, highly aromatic and airy, supported by firm, fine tannins.
