Bought by the estate in 2010, it is nestled just below the 1er cru Les Cailles, one of the most renowned of the appellation. The wines that Domaine Hubert Lignier draws from its small bunches affected by millerandage are concentrated, floral and elegant. Located in the extreme north of the village of Chambolle-Musigny, the climat Les Bussières takes its name from the Latin 'buxus', boxwood, and designates a place dotted with bushes, and more specifically with boxwood. The vineyard is planted in four stages, in 1948, 1953, 1964 and 1988. Les Bussières is a transitional climat between the Chambolle-Musigny and Morey-Saint-Denis appellations, delivering elegant wines with a complex bouquet, to be laid down for 4 to 5 years. Les Chanlins stand out for their remarkable position between Les Rugiens Hauts of Pommard and Les Pitures of Volnay, high up on the slope. This old agricultural toponym designates, quite simply, the place where flax was grown. This 41-are parcel, acquired by the estate in 2009, was replanted in 2013 and 2017. Its thin, calcareous soil, at altitude, on slopes of 15 to 20%, produces a 'Volnay-like' Pommard, between tannic structure and velvety finesse. 2020 is an early, sun-drenched and concentrated vintage. With its very mild winter and the months of April and May passing without incident, the start of the season leads to a flowering in excellent conditions. The summer, hot and very dry, results in an extremely early harvest of very healthy, concentrated grapes, from mid-August. The 2020 wines display deep fruit, are richly coloured, concentrated, ripe and extracted, and are endowed with a fine tannic framework.
