Bas-relief en stuc représentant la Vierge à l'Enfant. Région de Vénétie-Padoue, XVe siècle. 60 x 39 cm Sur un support en bois. Défauts et restaurations. À titre de comparaison, voir la Vierge à l’Enfant en terre cuite de Bartolomeo Bellano, conservée au Szépművészeti Múzeum de Budapest. Bellano (vers 1434–1496/97) était originaire de Padoue, où il aurait fait partie de l'atelier padouan de Donatello. Il suivit Donatello à Florence, où il collabora à la réalisation des bas-reliefs des chaires de San Lorenzo, qui comptent parmi les dernières œuvres du maître.
