FRAGMENT DE KISWAH BRODÉ DE FILS MÉTALLIQUES DORÉS ET ARGENTÉS, DESTINÉ À LA SAINTE KA‘BA, ARABIE SAOUDITE, XXe SIÈCLE De forme rectangulaire, ce fragment de Kiswah présente un riche décor brodé de fils métalliques dorés et argentés sur un fond de soie noire. La composition est centrée par un important cartouche à inscription en élégante écriture thuluth, entouré d’arabesques et de motifs végétaux stylisés. INSCRIPTIONS : « La victoire vient d’Allah ainsi qu’une conquête imminente. » Coran, sourate As-Saff (61:13). DIMENSIONS : 70 × 90 cm
