Silver Papal State wax jack - Rome after 1815, mark of DE ANGELIS ODOARDO (1823-1837)

circular base on which rests the figure of Perseus holding the head of Medusa. The central winder within a circle supports the remains of a wax coil. Fully hallmarked with the chamber marks in use in Rome after 1815 for silver at 10 ounces and 16 denari (889/1000) and with the "022D" mark of silversmith De Angelis Odoardo (1823-1837 - ref. Costantino Bulgari, Argentieri Gemmari e Orafi d'Italia, parte prima Roma pag. 359 nr 434). Height x diameter: 19.6 x 7.9 cm. Weight: 290 g. Item condition grading: **** good.
