Large French Gilt Mirror Frame. French School. 19th Century Carved and water-gilded wood. Dimensions: 125 cm x 91 cm, total 155 cm x 121 cm. It features rich ornamentation of acanthus leaves, flowers, cartouches, and scrolls, carefully arranged on a wide, deep profile. The gilding, with a warm, luminous tone, reinforces the volumes and reliefs, evoking the splendor of French Second Empire frames. Its decorative composition reflects the neo-Baroque style of the 19th century, where magnificence and theatricality are integrated into the art of framing.
