1578 - Path between birch trees and Sunset on the riverbank. Catalan school, 20th century

Path between birch trees and Sunset on the riverbank. Catalan school, 20th century Oil on canvas. Dimensions: 24 cm x 38 cm each. A set of two landscapes showcasing the bucolic tranquility of the Mediterranean. In the first, a path winds through birch trees and rocks, with a figure providing scale and narrative. In the second, a boat glides along a river at sunset, alongside a rural house enveloped in verdant foliage. The loose brushstrokes and the use of filtered light capture the serenity of the surroundings. The balanced composition and earthy palette reflect a Post-Impressionist aesthetic characteristic of the 20th-century Catalan school, which revalued the landscape as an emotional and contemplative space.
