Wine jug from Talavera de la Reina with a lion heraldic shield. Spanish School. 19th century. Glazed and polychrome ceramic. Measurements: 31 x 12 x 11 cm. 19th-century Talavera wine jug with a cylindrical body and wavy rim, decorated with glazed enamel in bright colors. Its surface features a crowned shield featuring a rampant lion alongside polychrome fields of blue, yellow, and red, framed by scrolls and garlands. The work demonstrates the expertise of the Talavera de la Reina workshops in the production of heraldic ceramics, intended both for everyday use and for the symbolic representation of lineages. Due to its age and history of use, this lot may show signs of wear and previous interventions. Unless explicitly stated otherwise, no specialized technical testing has been performed.
