Patinated corrugated iron fisherman sculpture. French School. 19th century. Patinated tin on a circular wooden base. Dimensions: 40 x 13 x 13 cm. The male figure is shown standing, holding a marine rope and raising his arm in an energetic gesture. The base retains the inscription "Le Commerce, " indicating its possible allegorical connection to work and the sea. The vigorous modeling, dynamic body, and confident expression are characteristic of the 19th-century French naturalist style, where tin sculpture gained great popularity for its realism and its affordable production in industrial workshops.
