Latin cross crafted in reddish agate, with 18-karat gold ends and settings. The smooth surface of the semiprecious stone is enhanced by the warmth of the metal, creating a piece of marked sobriety and nobility. Presented in its original case, it reflects the devotional and ornamental use of crosses in 19th-century jewelry, where spirituality was combined with material refinement.
