Tinta china sobre papel 21,5 × 29,3 cm (8,46 × 11,54 pulgadas) No nos damos cuenta de hasta qué punto Michel Vaillant alcanzó una relevancia internacional, una fama tal que, en Alemania, el semanario que publicaba el material de las ediciones Le Lombard no se llamaba Tintín, sino MV, las propias iniciales del héroe del motor rugiente. Se trata de un dibujo realizado para la revista de Alessandro Editore, la editorial italiana de Lucky Luke, Gaston Lagaffe, Blueberry o Blake y Mortimer, donde el piloto del «corazón en suspenso» también era famoso. Con su bello trazo clásico, como gran conocedor de las carreras de Fórmula 1 que frecuentaba los paddocks, Jean Graton logró que el automovilismo resultara tan interesante como emocionante.
