George III Silver Royal Crest Coat of Arms Ewer from the late 18th C - 700g and 18th Century Chased silver with visible hallmarks and a carved ivory handle. An exceptional example of a ceremonial ewer associated with the reign of George III (1760–1820), with Neoclassical decoration on the body, lid, and pouring spout. The curved ivory handle features a stylized vegetal design, probably executed by English master silversmiths. Hallmarks with initials, a rampant lion, and a hallmarked date confirm its authenticity. The purity of the metal, the formal balance, and the harmony between functionality and aesthetics are striking. A work representative of the refinement of British Georgian silverwork.
