Round talismanic amulet worn as a PENDANT, made of white jade with beige undertones and multi-lobed edges, adorned with epigraphic inscriptions in the Thuluth style, partially gilded. The dense, intertwined calligraphy evokes the name of Allah and the phrase “Muhammad is the Messenger of God” and features the complete text of the Ayat al-Kursi (The Verse of the Throne), which is verse 255 of Surah Al-Baqara (The Cow), the second chapter of the Quran. It is recognized as one of the most important and powerful verses in the holy book. The medallion is suspended by a polychrome braided cord embellished with small beads, particularly at the end, which is finished with trimmings. (Signs of normal wear.) 8 x 8.5 cm
