[MINIATURE BOOK - RELIGION]. Little Parish Book for Youth. A delightful miniature missal, decorated with 12 engraved plates, including 1 frontispiece. Paris, J. Langlumé, n.d. [circa 1857]. In-64 (3 x 4.5 cm), solid red cardboard binding, smooth and unmarked spine, gilded frieze framing the covers, all edges gilt (contemporary binding). 95 pages, 12 engraved plates as inserts, including a frontispiece. Fragile binding (split joints), slight rubbing, foxing. Charming missal in Lilliputian format, adorned with an engraved frontispiece (Savior of the World) and several black-and-white engravings as inserts, depicting religious and devotional scenes (the Infant Jesus, the Ascension, etc.) Handwritten ownership marks from the period in brown ink on the endpaper: “Little parishioner belonging to Laurier (?)” A somewhat fragile copy given its unusual size.
