A remarkable art book presented in a sculpted resin slipcase, the result of a collaboration between Gilbert Lascault’s writing and Coco Téxèdre’s unique visual art. A beautiful copy, No. 1, signed by the author and the artist. No place, no publisher, 2015. In-8, leporello in sheets, bone-shaped paper mounted on a red thread serving as a bookmark, housed in a carved resin case painted white and red and inlaid with a red plastic hook; the authors’ names appear on a suspended piece of red canvas. 2 sheets. Loose author’s insert (string detached). First edition of this artist’s book created “in collaboration” by novelist Gilbert Lascault (1934–2022) and French visual artist Coco Téxèdre. The work consists of Gilbert Lascault’s autograph manuscript and original compositions by Coco Téxèdre, executed in red acrylic and black ink. A unique visual work blending abstraction, underlying eroticism, and a poetic exploration of movement and disorder. Only 8 numbered copies of this book were produced on Arches vellum; this is No. 1, signed by the author and the artist. In excellent condition.
