First edition of this artist's book, which combines Charles Juliet's stripped-down, introspective poetry with Francis Herth's dark, mineral-like, and organic engravings. A fine copy, enhanced by a signed autograph dedication from the illustrator. Paris, Fata Morgana, 1984. In-8 (230 x 130 mm) loose-leaf format, white board cover printed in red. Unpaginated, with 3 original black etchings signed by Francis Herth, including 2 full-page etchings and 1 double-page etching. Minimal wear and browning along the cover margins; slight fading of the etchings. First edition of this collection of poems in the refined style of Charles Juliet (1934–2024), illustrated with three original etchings signed by Francis Herth (1942–2018). Limited edition of 33 numbered copies on Arches pure-fiber vellum; this is no. 22, featuring an autographed dedication by the illustrator on the half-title page, dated July 1987: "To Alain Finard, with Francis Herth’s deepest gratitude." A beautiful copy.
