Binding rubbed, slight foxing on the title page. First edition of these historical memoirs describing the reigns of Charles IX, Henry III, Henry IV, and Louis XIII, by the Marquis de Beauvais-Nangis (1582–1650), a prominent figure at the courts of Henry IV and Louis XIII. It notably contains the “first historical text exclusively devoted to Sully throughout history” (L. Avezou, pp. 148–150). A fine copy.
